Rechargeable TV Factory

At CES 2023, startup Displace debuted what it calls the world's first true wireless TV.rechargeable tv factory It swaps out the usual electrical cords in favor of four rechargeable batteries, and it relies on a base unit kept physically separate from the TV to send video up to 4K to its screen. Displace says it will run for a month with a single set of batteries, and the batteries can be hot-swapped and recharged while the TV is running.

Cello Electronics' rechargeable TVs can also be charged via 12-volt adapters plugged into the same outlets used in cars, campervans, motor homes, and boats, as well as standard mains sockets. They also have a multitude of ports, including USB and HDMI, to accommodate all sorts of gadgets. Check out the video above to see the TV in action. The product is available for preorder starting today, and shipments will begin in late 2023.
